Tactical change

So… after two horrible attempts to draw an own character, I have made a drastic "tactical change".

I let go of the idea of drawing something in one rush and instead tried to do the “step by step drawing”-method (don’t know if there s a name for this)... I think the outcome is much better than my previous two scraps (see my scrap book)...

Everything was done in Photoshop with my Wacom Intuos 4 L. 2 hours, no reference of course.

What can or should I improve?
